Trac and SVN services moving to a new host
Happy New Year! I’m moving Trac & SVN services off to a VM dedicated to the task (previously the shell server was doing double-duty and helping out here). In the process Trac is getting upgraded to 0.12 and generally getting more resources allocated so it can be a better experience for our heavy users.
You’ll no doubt want to test your instance on 0.12 before the cut over. To do so is pretty easy, just go to:
http://trac-test.geekisp.com/
Your current logins will work and have matching privileges, but you’ll notice that the data is a few days old. Naturally I’ll be re-syncing things before the cutover.
I’m ballparking about a week until that happens – so say Sunday 1/8 in the US/Eastern morning I’ll begin the cutover. As always, email support@geekisp.com if you notice any issues or have any questions!
EDIT: This is now complete as of 1/9 at 11:30am ET. Please contact support@geekisp.com if you run into any problems.
EDIT-2: If you’ve got a repository using the old ‘svnserve’ style url (e.g. svn://svn.geekisp.com/myrepo), please ‘switch’ it to use https like so:
$ svn switch –relocate svn://svn.geekisp.com/myrepo https://svn.geekisp.com/myrepo
